Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Eave mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Eave is a tool designed to help you identify potential phone scams in real time by analysing your own speech for patterns commonly associated with scam scripts. It is an assistive tool - not a guarantee.
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them.
To use Eave, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@eave.app if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings > Delete Account) or by contacting us at support@eave.app. On deletion, your email address and all associated data are permanently removed within 30 days.
You may use Eave solely for your own personal, non-commercial protection against phone fraud. You agree not to:
Laws regarding the recording and monitoring of telephone calls vary significantly by country, state, and territory. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your use of Eave complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. In many jurisdictions, it is unlawful to record a call without the consent of all parties. Eave is designed to listen to and analyse your own speech only; however, you remain responsible for ensuring your use is lawful.
Eave accepts no liability for any legal consequences arising from your use of the App in a manner that violates applicable law.
Eave uses AI-based analysis to detect patterns associated with common scam scripts. Eave does not guarantee that it will detect every scam, and it may produce false positives or false negatives. The App is an assistive tool to supplement your own judgment - not a replacement for it. You should always apply your own critical thinking to calls you receive, regardless of whether Eave raises an alert.
Eave is not liable for any financial loss, harm, or other damage resulting from a scam that the App failed to detect, or from any action you take in reliance on an alert issued by the App.
The App requires access to your device microphone to function. By granting microphone permission, you consent to Eave processing the audio captured during active monitoring sessions for the purpose of real-time scam detection. You may revoke this permission at any time via your device settings, which will prevent the App from functioning.
The family alert feature uses the third-party ntfy.sh notification service. Use of that service is subject to ntfy.sh's own terms and privacy policy. Eave is not responsible for the availability, reliability, or conduct of any third-party service.
The App, its name, design, and underlying technology are owned by or licensed to Eave. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal use on your own device(s). Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Eave and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of money, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the App.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eave and its team from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Eave operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
